Facebook ensures that the video is seen throughout the process, from autoplay to immediate prominence in the news feed. We strongly advise publishing videos in Facebook native format since your video will be auto-played and your reach will rise several times more than if you upload on YouTube and then embed on Facebook.
To publish a video on Facebook:
Click the button in the top-right corner of any browser window. This will open up Facebook in a new tab/window.
Type the address http://www.facebook.com/ into the browser's location bar. This will take you back to the main Facebook page.
Click the Video box on the right side of the screen. This will open up a menu with different options.
Click the Upload button. From here you can choose an album to post the video into, set a privacy level etc. When you're done, click the Create Button at the bottom of the page.
Your video will now be uploaded and should appear in your News Feed within minutes.
As with most social networks, having a profile full of interesting content is important for reaching more people. So keep posting useful information and videos!
On Facebook, the majority of users have auto-play activated. If this is the case, the video will begin playing almost immediately. Video thumbnails, on the other hand, will appear if the video does not immediately play. Clicking on these images will allow you to watch videos that have not started yet.
Open your web browser on your computer and sign in to your Facebook account. Go to Settings > Videos. Toggle Auto-play Videos on in Video Settings: When you post a video, it will automatically play when someone clicks to watch it.
However, if you want to utilize Facebook properly, you need be familiar with the video formats that Facebook supports. Then you won't have to worry about forgetting to publish the movie on Facebook. You may even need to modify the video before posting it. Sometimes your video format is incompatible with Facebook, and you may need to convert it. For example, if your video was created in Windows Media Player, you'll need to do this process for Mac users too since WMP doesn't support all the features of other players.
Open the Facebook app from your device's home screen. (lower-right) > Settings > Media and Contacts > Video and Photos > Autoplay, then choose the desired Autoplay option. Note that this will play all videos in an email as well as any videos you share on Facebook.
To prevent random movies from playing in your Facebook News Feed, click the drop-down arrow button in the top right-hand corner, select Settings and Privacy, and then Settings again. This will prevent any video from playing in your news feed unless it is posted by one of your friends or family members.
1. No embed code is provided by Facebook for your uploaded video. A Facebook video cannot be embedded on a blog or website (legally). 2. A publicly available URL for a video is not provided by Facebook. It is only possible to share specific links to Facebook videos.
