Creating several friend lists not only helps you choose who can and cannot view what you publish, but it also allows you to filter what you see. By selecting "Explore" and then "Friend Lists," you may examine all of their latest postings in a news feed by selecting the list you wish. This is useful if you have friends in different groups; for example, some might want to see photos of your pets while others would rather read about politics.
Furthermore, you can select specific friends to add or remove from each list. For example, you could make one list for friends who don't live in New York and another for friends who aren't college students.
You can create up to 100 custom friend lists on Facebook.

How can I make a list to arrange my Facebook friends?
They will not be unfriended or alerted if you add friends to your acquaintances list. Simply put, you'll see fewer of their postings in your news feed. However, they can still find out about your life on Facebook through searches, spam, and other means.
The best way to keep something private is to make it so that others cannot find it. Adding people to your "acquaintances" list prevents them from seeing some of your updates. This doesn't mean that they won't ever find out anything about your life, but it does mean that they won't see every update you make.
Your privacy settings are one thing, but many people don't take them seriously. If you want to keep something between you and your friends, then avoid sharing it with everyone.
