Take notice of what you have control over and what you don't as you look at your steps. Then consider your strengths. Make a strategy for how you will utilize your abilities to address the stages over which you have control. For example, if you are struggling with school work, focus on developing your study skills. "I'll ask my teacher for help when I need it." Or perhaps you lack motivation. "I'll set a goal for myself and work hard to achieve it."
Finally, think about your weaknesses. What can you do to improve them? "I'm not good at math," for example, "but that doesn't mean I have to admit it!" Instead, decide what you can do to make up for it. "From now on, I'll ask someone who does know math well to help me with my homework."
The more you concentrate on what you can control, the more likely you are to take action. And the more likely you are to take action, the more likely you are to succeed.
