How can I share a Facebook post that I see in my news feed?
At the top of your friends' or followers' Facebook News Feed: Your article will show in the Stories area at the top right of their Facebook News Feed. Your article will be the first in this section to appear at the top of your own news feed. The other articles will drop down.
You can also use the "Stories" feature as a way to share articles and videos from websites with your social network. When someone clicks on the link, they'll be taken to the source page. However, their friends won't see that story show up in their news feed; it's only visible to those who have clicked through via email or a direct message.
Facebook tells us that its algorithm determines which stories appear in users' feeds. The company says that it takes into account factors such as how many people are likely to find the story interesting, what type of content they prefer to see from friends, and more.
However, some publishers have claimed that they were able to boost their stories' visibility by paying for ads that run before or after their content. There are reports that these paid promotions help certain stories rise to the top of readers' feeds, giving them a better chance of being viewed by more people.
In addition to the Stories feature, Facebook users can also interact with articles within their news feeds.
