Whether you fall into the latter group and really must know if someone has muted you, here's how to find out. Create a "Home" column in Tweetdeck for the person you believe has muted you. If you don't appear there, you're muted; you may confirm this with a tweet. Otherwise, your friend or family member might think you've been muted by accident or as a joke and will need proof before they can un-mute you.
If you have access to their Twitter account, look it up under "Settings & Privacy". You should see a button labeled "Mute This Account". Clicking that will show you all tweets since you last listened to your voice mail message or emailed your mother.
If you don't have access to their account, then no one does except for them. They can decide at any time whether or not to give you access, so there's nothing you can do about it unless they change their mind later.
"Mute is a function that allows you to delete tweets from an account's timeline without unfollowing or banning that account." Muted accounts are unaware that they have been muted, and you can unmute them at any moment. When another user mutes you, they will see a red "-" in your Twitter display name instead of a blue one.
Muting someone else on Twitter is easy - just follow these steps:
They will still be able to send direct messages to you, but they won't show up in your stream. If you want to un-mute them, simply click the "unmute" button next to their name.
Because you will not be alerted if someone mutes you on Instagram, there is no definite method to determine. You can still follow someone if you mute them on Instagram, but you won't see their posts or stories on your feed. This means that person can censor what they post without removing it completely.
In addition to this, users should note that if they choose to block another user on Instagram then they will not be able to do so directly through the app. They will have to contact Instagram for further information on why they were blocked.
Actually, there is no way to be certain that you were muted on Snapchat. There are no obvious indicators or cues in the chat windows that the user has muted you. But the only way to find out is to trust your instincts. If the individual is still on your list, it indicates that he did not block you. Otherwise, you would not be here asking this question.
Snapchat does have a feature called "Ghost Mode" that will hide all of your stories and photos from the person who activated it. To use this feature, both users must open the Snapchat app at the same time and tap the ghost icon in the top right corner of the screen. Then, they must follow the instructions onscreen. When either user hits "Save," their ghosted story or photo will be preserved for future viewing.
There is also a feature called "Mute Cards" that allows users to block individuals from sending them messages. These cards appear in the user's news feed just like regular messages but with a red dot instead of a blue one. The muted user will be able to see the card but it will not display his or her name above it. Instead, the word "BLOCKED" will be printed above the card.
If you suspect that you have been blocked by someone, check the last message on your phone bill. Snapchat will always send its users' bills to an email address so you can review them before paying them.
If you want to find out if someone has muted you on Messenger, send a message from a different profile. If the receiver views the message, they have most likely silenced you on messenger. You can also check this by sending yourself a message with the @ symbol in it (this will fail if someone else is messaging you).
To find out whether someone muted your Facebook story, keep posting tales for a few days and wait for the individual to read them. If that doesn't work, send a message to the individual, and if you get a one-tick, it signifies the person has muted you on Facebook.
The first thing you should know about mute apps for facebook is that they don't actually mute anything. They just hide posts or comments. To really mute someone, you have to go into your account settings once again.
The second thing you should know is that not all apps are created equal. Some apps simply show more hidden posts than others. Some will even show you posts in groups or pages that you're not a part of. That being said, here's how to know if someone has muted you on Facebook:
If you look at your home page or news feed and don't see any new stories from them, then they must be blocked. However, this doesn't mean that they've completely unfriended you - only that you can't see their updates anymore. A muted person can still contact you via email or private message on Facebook.
It's also possible that they haven't muted you at all. Perhaps you've been hiding from them or using the block feature of Facebook? In that case, they won't see your updates and will never find out you were avoiding them.
