Fill in the text of your message, then touch the "Send" arrow on the right side of the text box. This will ensure that your message reaches the intended recipient (s). You may also attach photographs or videos to the text box by touching the camera or photo icon to the left of the text box. When you're done, simply touch the "Send Message" button on the bottom center of the screen.
Send a coded message. Hit the text box at the bottom of the screen, type your message's text, and then tap the "Send" arrow on the text box's right side. This will deliver your message to the intended recipient. The person receiving the message can then open the photo or video using the Messenger app.
Send images, movies, files, or animated GIFs.

Taking and transmitting photographs and videos Open the discussion to which you wish to send the photo or video. If you wish to snap a picture or record a video, press the "Camera" button. To snap a picture, press the spherical shutter button. To record a video, press and hold the circular shutter button. After you've taken the picture or recorded the video, review your options by pressing the Menu button. You can then send the photo or video to anyone by selecting the person from the list of contacts, or post it on your profile page.
The camera button, located above the message box, allows you to capture photographs and record videos, which may then be submitted to the chat. Users can also send you files through Facebook Messenger.
Send a message to your buddy in response to the photo. You may also leave the message area unfilled. Click the "paper clip" symbol to the right of your message. Choose a photo from your computer and save it as a file to email to a friend.
