The video should only play at the top of the brand page on Facebook. On Instagram, you'll notice a little "live" logo around the story rings at the top of the screen. Enter the live stream by tapping. The person streaming will be aware that you are watching. They can change things like what camera they use and move around the room.
Facebook Live lets you connect with your audience in a more personal way than traditional broadcasting allows. If you have something important to say or share with your fans, Facebook Live is an effective way to get it out into the world quickly and easily.
There are two ways to start a Facebook Live event: through the chat box or via photo/video uploads. To post to your page during a live stream, just type comments into the chat box. For details on how to use the chat box during a broadcast, see our guide here: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/6201970?hl=en.
When you first start a live stream, there are several options you can choose from. The most basic option is a webcam, but you can also use your iPhone or Android device as a camera if you want. To use a phone as a camera, you'll need to download the Facebook Live app from the App Store or Google Play. Make sure you've got enough battery power left on your phone during the live stream!
Viewers with or without a Facebook account can watch live feeds. Viewers who do not have a Facebook account can view the stream via the livestream URL, or they can watch the live feed integrated on your website or blog (please see the next section for more information about embedding a live stream).
To add a viewer who does not have a Facebook account, first make sure that you are broadcasting to the world by clicking the blue "Start Broadcast" button. Then click the "Add Anonymously" button under the Video Manager menu. Type in the email address of the person who should get a notification when you post something new. The broadcaster will receive an email with a link to the livestream page where they can watch your broadcast.
After adding viewers anonymously, you will need to stop broadcasting before removing them. To do this, click the red "Stop Broadcasting" button under the Video Manager menu.
Please note that only people who have given permission to view their activity info can add themselves as anonymous viewers. If someone claims to be able to add an anonymous viewer but is unable to do so, we recommend that you do not include them in your broadcast.
The Facebook team reviews and approves all livestreams prior to them being visible to anyone outside of the broadcaster's audience. As such, there are certain features that cannot be used in broadcasts.
Facebook Live now supports groups, so you may stream to a select group of your choice. This paves the way for more private and personal live recordings that are only available to a restricted group of individuals. However, when you publish your video, it goes out to the public.
Facebook Live is a function of the Facebook social network that broadcasts real-time video to Facebook using the camera on a computer or mobile device. Live broadcasters may control who sees their video on Facebook and utilize this material to engage their audience during critical moments and events. Video content ranges from interviews with celebrities to classroom lectures to news reports.
Live events are different from Facebook videos in many ways. Users can only watch videos posted as events, which are marked as such in the Facebook events section. Videos played in a live session are visible for an hour after they end. The viewer cannot skip ahead or replay parts of the video.
Celebrities may grant fans exclusive access to backstage areas at music festivals or behind-the-scenes clips from their daily lives. Students can share lecture notes and get feedback from teachers and classmates via live sessions. News outlets can interview people live during breaking news events.
Facebook users can join live events at any time. When someone joins an event, they see a notification at the top of their news feed. They can then click on this link to view the video stream. If they want to listen to audio only, they can do so by clicking on the microphone icon next to the video.
Users can also leave an event at any time.
