If you want to block a stranger (or someone you know) who is following you on Twitter, click the down arrow icon at the top of a Tweet from the account you want to block. Choose Block. To confirm, select Block once more. The banned account can no longer follow you or read your tweets. Any content they post will not be displayed.
Unfollow a Twitter follower. The blocked user will no longer be able to see your Tweets or interact with your content.
You may block any person on Twitter by going to their profile (through the site or the official Twitter mobile app) and clicking the three vertical dots next to the Follow/Follow button. Select this option to block the person.
Doing so will prevent them from seeing your tweets until you allow it.
The person you block will not be notified that they have been blocked. They will be able to access your tweets if the person you banned logs off of Twitter and your tweets are not protected. Navigate to the user's profile that you want to ban. In the upper right corner of the user's profile, click the symbol. This will take you to your blocking page.
Click the button that says "Block this person." You will now see a list of all the users you follow who have also blocked the person. When you block someone, they will no longer be able to send you direct messages or see your timeline items.
Can I unblock someone on Twitter? Yes. On the blocking page, there is a button that reads "Unblock this person." Click this button to remove the block mark from a user's profile. If you do this and they have not already logged out of their account, they will be able to log back in and continue using Twitter as usual.
Why would I want to block or unblock someone on Twitter? There are several reasons why you might want to block or unblock someone. For example: You may want to block a person who is causing problems for you or others on Twitter. Or you may want to allow certain people to view your status updates but prevent other people from seeing them.
Select "Block" from the three dots in the top-right corner of the screen. Tap the three dots and then choose "Block." If you wish to delete followers but not permanently block them, there is one last option. You won't be able to see someone's profile if you block them on Twitter. However, they will still be able to see yours.
If you want to block multiple people at once, select them all and click the Block button. On the other hand, if you want to unblock people, just select them and click the Unblock button.
Blocking someone on Twitter prevents them from seeing your tweets or following you back. However, they can still read your timeline and send direct messages to you. They just won't appear in your recommendations list.
To stop someone from sending you direct messages, you'll have to block them first. Remember that blocking someone on Twitter doesn't remove them from your follow list.
You can block users from within any app that supports Twitter cards. Select a user and then select the Blocked icon next to their name. This person will no longer be able to send you direct messages or see your tweets.
Users can unblock others by accessing their blocked users page. From here, they can see what apps they're blocked in and change the setting if needed.
Users can also unblock others by contacting Twitter support.
If you wish to look for accounts, use the grid filter search at the top to narrow down Twitter accounts by name, keywords, handles, location, and language. To visit them on Twitter, click the blue "Visit" button and then follow the procedures outlined above to ban and unblock them. Alternately, you can block an entire country from seeing your tweets by selecting their code in the "Block countries" drop-down menu.
To block someone from seeing your tweets, go to their profile, click or hold the drop down menu, and pick "Block User," which forces them to unfollow you and prevents them from following you or viewing your tweets again. When you do this, the user is not alerted. Blocking someone silently ends their ability to follow you or see your tweets.
