FriendFilter is a simple application that assists you in locating inactive friends and keeping your buddy list clean and active. After creating an account, connecting your Facebook profile, and installing the FriendFilter Chrome extension, you must allow FriendFilter to sync your friend list and interaction.
Once this is done, every time one of your friends updates their status or takes some other action within Facebook, FriendFilter will see this happen and connect with any other users they believe are still friends with that person. Thus, its name "sync" friend lists across multiple devices and browsers.
Also, if someone deletes themselves from your friend list, then they have inactive permission given to FriendFilter to help it identify those people. So, by default, it will not remove anyone from its database unless you tell it to do so. However, you can use this feature to delete individuals who no longer qualify as friends due to moving away from each other on the web or changing relationship statuses.
Finally, if you want to remove someone from the database entirely, you can do so by selecting them in the FriendFilter menu and clicking the "Delete from Database" button. They will no longer show up as inactive on any other device using the same FriendFilter account.
You can read more about how FriendFilter works on its website. The service is free for personal use but offers paid plans for larger teams or enterprise applications.

On the Facebook Web Version
On the desktop version (while viewing Facebook in your computer's web browser): 1. Navigate to your friend's timeline by clicking their name. 2. Hover your mouse over the Friends icon and choose "Acquaintances." You'll now notice a symbol next to the phrase "Friends," indicating that this buddy is on your list of acquaintances.
On mobile: 1. Open the Facebook app. 2. Click your name at the top of the screen. 3. Select "Friends." Your friends will be listed here.
You can also search for any acquaintance by typing their name into the Search box at the top of the page. When they show up, you'll know they're on your list because there will be an arrow next to their name.
It's best to keep your acquaintance list clean so it's easy to find people. If you don't want to see anyone else's updates or photos, edit your list by selecting certain friends from the drop-down menu and then clicking "Remove" from below their names. After doing this, click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page.
If you add someone as a friend but then they disappear from your list, go back into your Home page and click the "Friends" button. Locate the person who disappeared and click the "x" next to their name. This will remove them from your list of friends but not from Facebook. You can still send messages to them via email or chat.
After installation, go in to facebook.com to access your Facebook account. Navigate to the profile of the person whose friends list you wish to view. A new tab will be launched that displays the Facebook user's Facebook friend list. You can hover over any name to see a popup with more information about that person.
If you and someone else have common friends and connect with them privately, you will move up each other's friend lists. Because Facebook based many of its algorithms on common friends, this metric is critical. Your most recent acquaintances may also rise to the top of the list. However, if you are not connected anymore, then your mutual friends will drop down the list.
You may use lists to arrange your Facebook friends. You may use a list to submit an update for specified people, such as employees or friends who reside nearby. You may also see updates from certain people groups (example: close friends and family). You have the option to add or remove friends from these lists at any time.
