Continue reading for a list of my life goals. I just published a piece in which I listed 100 life objectives. In it, I attempted to focus on specific goals that I believed anybody might profit from. I wanted it to be slightly personal—a list for anyone else looking for life goal motivation. I've had lots of fun thinking about what I want to accomplish before I die and came up with this list.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did writing it.
Nine Habits for Using the Law of Attraction to Help You Achieve Your Goals
The vision of your life determines who you want to be, what you want to be recognized for, and the set of experiences and accomplishments you want to achieve. Your vision aids in the definition of goals by providing a framework for evaluating those goals. The more specific your vision is, the better able you will be to reach your full potential.
It is important to have goals because they provide a focus for our efforts that helps drive us forward in our endeavors. Without goals, we might get sidetracked by many different opportunities that come our way every day, which would make planning and managing our time very difficult. Goals also help us measure our progress towards achieving them which gives us motivation to continue working towards them.
There are two ways of looking at goals: either as targets to be achieved, or as dreams to be pursued. When you view them as targets to be achieved, they limit you before you even start. You won't go far if every step you take is expected to lead to something definite - unless, of course, you expect someone else to take responsibility for reaching these targets. But when you view them as dreams to be pursued, the only limitation they put on you is one of time. You can dream about becoming an artist, a musician, a scientist, etc., without any immediate results from your efforts. But if you really want to pursue your dream, you must first decide how you intend to approach it.
A collection of aspirations and ambitions
Traveling is my ideal way of existence. My ideal life would be to travel the world and live in various places. My ideal existence is one in which I write and ponder. My ideal existence would include mentors who would encourage, advise, and assist me in moving forward.
My dream life is a happy one. It's a life full of joy and laughter with the people I love. It is a life where every day is an adventure. It is a life where my work fulfills me and I am never bored. It is a life where my efforts lead me closer to my goal.
I know my dream life cannot be reached overnight. However, I believe with hard work and dedication, any given individual can achieve their dreams.
The first step towards your dream life is understanding what it is you want. Think about your dream life and write down as many details as possible. The more information you have, the better your chance of achieving your goals.
After you have written down all that you can think of, ask yourself these questions:
Will it be here in the city or somewhere else? If elsewhere, then where? What kind of location will it be? Will it be a house or an apartment?
Many actual dreams are jumbled up snippets of our existence. Those we only partially comprehend and things we desire to learn more about because they fascinate us materialize as manifestations in our dreams. To land the job of your dreams, you must cut through the distractions and focus on achievable goals. Consider what you know now compared to what you will know after receiving a promotion or advancing in your current role. Is there an opportunity for increased responsibility? If so, you should be prepared to make some serious commitments if you want to advance.
Your journey to find your dream job starts with understanding where you are now and where you would like to be. Then, write down all of the possibilities. Include the small details such as how much it pays, whether or not it's within driving distance of your home, etc. After doing this, evaluate each position based on what you have written down. You may find that you prefer one job description over another or that there are aspects of several positions that interest you. In this case, you need to decide which is most important to pursue first. Perhaps it's best to try out different roles before finding one that fits you perfectly.
If you're looking for your dream job, it's important to stay focused but flexible at the same time. This allows room for opportunities to present themselves even if they aren't exactly what you were hoping for. As long as you're making progress and staying true to yourself, you can't go wrong!
