Anonymity Whatever occurs, you will not be able to see who has reported you. When it comes to individual postings being deleted, you might not even know what was taken. However, Facebook should be able to tell you whether or not your account has been disabled.
There are two ways to find out if someone has reported you: through the Facebook Help Center and via email. If you go to the Help Center and click on "How do I find out who has reported my account?" a window will open up that tells you if someone has filed a report against you. You can also send an email to [email protected] with a question about your account. It's possible that one of our staff members will be able to help you out.
When anything is reported to Facebook, we will evaluate it and remove any content that violates our Community Standards. If we contact the individual responsible, we will keep your identity and any personal information entirely secret. We may provide this information to law enforcement officials as required by law or in good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation or to protect our rights or the rights of others.
However, please know that even when we remove posted material, it does not mean that the person who posted it has been punished. They can repeat their actions again later. Only you can prevent yourself from being exposed to content that you do not want to see. You can review and control the information you post online by editing your profile page and clicking on the "Privacy" option within the menu system.
If you believe that someone else's content violates our Community Standards, you can file a report directly through the "My Page" section of your account page. Once we receive your report, we will take all appropriate action. In some cases, depending on what type of content was reported, we may contact the individual responsible for posting the content.
Because the process is anonymous, the individual you report will have no idea who did it. Within the app, you may report abuse, spam, or anything else that violates our Community Guidelines. We'll review your report and take action if necessary.
Finding out who reported you is not possible with the current system. However, we do offer a feature called "Blocking", which prevents people who have been reported by another user from sending you messages. You can activate this block by following these steps:
1. Open the TikTok menu and go to Settings.
2. Select Block Users.
3. Choose Specific People to Block. This will prevent all messages including those sent directly by friends from individuals you've blocked.
4. Click Save at the bottom of the screen to activate the change.
Once you block someone, they will no longer be able to send you messages through the app. They may still be able to reach out via other means such as email or social media, but they won't be able to use TikTok's direct messaging feature.
Please note that blocking only affects people who have been reported by another user.
If you report an Instagram account, the user will not be aware of it until they receive a warning message from Instagram. That is, regardless of how many people report them, the individual will not be told that their account has been reported.
However, once an Instagram user receives a warning message, they have 30 days to delete all their reports. If they do not delete their reports within this time frame, then their account will be permanently blocked.
In addition to receiving warning messages, individual users can also delete their own reports if they want to unblock another person's account. However, once a report has been filed, it cannot be deleted. The only way to delete it is for the original reporter to withdraw their complaint.
All in all, finding out who reported your account is not possible with our tools right now. However, if you want to know who it is, you can always ask the person directly!
"Who Deleted Me," an app that reveals individuals who have unfriended or canceled their Facebook profiles, was discovered by BuzzFeed.
